Squamish Townhouses

Currently in design development, this five-unit multi-family rental project consists of two buildings: a four-unit townhouse and a single-unit carriage house. Located in Squamish, the project adopts a restrained architectural language defined by simple forms and a strong orientation toward views of the Stawamus Chief.

A covered entry sequence, clad in darkened wood, establishes a warm and grounded arrival experience, drawing from the tonal qualities of the surrounding mountain landscape.

Set within a floodplain, the project is required to elevate all habitable floor areas above the designated flood level. This constraint is used as an opportunity to lift the buildings on posts, minimizing site disturbance and reducing potential impact on local wildlife.

The exterior palette is composed of durable, weather-resistant materials, articulated through varying profiles that introduce depth, texture, and shadow across the façades.
