Forest Sauna

Located in Sun Peaks, British Columbia, this forest sauna is designed as an adjunct to an existing ski cabin. Set within an old-growth forest, the project emphasizes a quiet, immersive relationship with its surroundings.

The design frames controlled views into the landscape, creating a series of aperture-like moments that register seasonal change and shifting light conditions. Conceived as a year-round retreat, the sauna provides a space for rest and recovery, offering a measured contrast to the pace of everyday life.
