Community Rowhouse
The Community Rowhouse is a vision study for a local rowing club, conceived as a shared facility for athletes, residents, and visitors. The program brings together training, education, and community functions within a single, cohesive structure.
Athlete training spaces are paired with a boat rental and learning centre, alongside a flexible event space for gatherings and public use. These programs are vertically organized, with primary spaces oriented toward the water to engage with rowing activity and the surrounding inlet.
The building is strategically sited to minimize its footprint and reduce environmental impact. Extending partially over the water, the design limits site disturbance while strengthening the relationship between the facility, the shoreline, and the broader landscape.
