Me, You, Us (Wreck City Art Installation)
Me, You, Us is an interactive wayfinding installation developed for the Wreck City ‘Demo Tape’ exhibition, extending the project into the surrounding community. The work consists of three illuminated signs placed across nearby sites within close proximity, each activating a different scale of experience—from the individual to the collective.
The “ME” sign is installed in a private residence, referencing the individual and the intimate scale of home. The “YOU” sign is placed at Pith Gallery, representing a shared space of creative production and collaboration. The “US” sign is integrated into the primary site signage at the exhibition location, reflecting the public and communal nature of the project and its connection to the Wreck City Collective.
Together, the installations form a distributed network across the neighbourhood, linking domestic, studio, and public contexts. As a system of wayfinding, the work guides visitors through Ramsay and Inglewood, while reinforcing connections between artists, audiences, and the broader community.
The signage operates simultaneously as navigation and installation, collapsing function and representation into a single gesture that maps relationships across multiple scales of community.
