Field Study General Store

In collaboration with designer Kayla Browne and owner Sarah Knorr, 2x2 was commissioned to design and fabricate interior elements for the Field Study General Store.

A ten-foot communal table is wrapped in canvas, providing a neutral surface that highlights the store’s curated selection of goods. The interior maintains a calm, minimal atmosphere, reinforced through the use of maple plywood for fixtures and built elements.

The primary cash desk is designed as a simple, refined volume that emphasizes the natural character of the maple grain. Integrated within the desk is a glass-topped jewelry display, subtly embedded to support retail functionality while maintaining visual clarity.
