Seymour Renovation
Located in Yaletown, Vancouver, this condo renovation explores a refined reinterpretation of interior space through a restrained material palette and careful detailing. Natural oiled oak is used throughout the flooring and millwork, establishing warmth and continuity across the interior.
A herringbone floor pattern introduces subtle visual interest and contrasts with the clean lines of the cabinetry, balancing classical reference with a more contemporary sensibility. The kitchen island acts as a central feature, composed of black powder-coated steel and topped with marble to create material contrast within the otherwise warm palette.
Designed with concealed casters, the island is fully mobile, extending its function into the adjacent patio for social use. The integration of steel elements introduces a subtle industrial character, while maintaining an overall sense of warmth and cohesion throughout the space.
