Ridgemont Residence
Located in Fernie, British Columbia, this project reimagines the interior of an existing bungalow. The elongated east–west layout is retained, with primary living spaces oriented south toward mountain views and private areas organized along the north.
The design introduces a restrained material palette to bring warmth and continuity to the interior, unifying the kitchen, dining, and living areas through a consistent architectural language. Natural wood is applied across floors, walls, and ceilings, with subtle variations in texture to create depth and visual rhythm throughout the space.
Careful attention is given to detailing, with built-in elements that selectively conceal and reveal functional components. This approach supports a cohesive and refined interior while maintaining clarity in both form and use.
